Our tiny Suffolk village – in the middle of nowhere but only a short distance from Ipswich – opened its gardens for the first time in four years, due to the pandemic, over the weekend of 22nd-23rd June 2019.
As well as a range of very different gardens to visit, there was some exciting displays and other events that kept the whole family happy. Flowton’s delightful 13th century church also hosted a colourful Flower Festival from 11.00am on the theme of Nursery Rhymes.
Refreshments, lunches and cream teas were available throughout the weekend.
Proceeds went to help maintain St Mary’s Church, Flowton, and to FIND (Families in Need), our local Ipswich food and furniture bank which provides crucial support to many local families and individuals in need.
