National Churches Trust awards a £6000 grant to St Mary’s Church in Flowton.
St. Mary’s Church in Flowton has been awarded £6000 grant from the National Churches Trust for essential repair to the north aspect of the Church roof. This is in addition to £3000 from the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust and £2500 from the Ganzoni Trust.
The church in Flowton is the only community building in the village and serves as a place of worship as well as providing space for community functions and local events. The work, which will begin in April, will allow St Mary’s to repair the roof on the north aspect of the church. Without these essential repairs, the Church cannot remain watertight and continue to serve as a community building.
